Rochelle Baker, Office Manager
Ms Rochelle Baker is the Office Manager for Syncom Venture Partners, a venture capital firm based in Silver Spring, Maryland that has approximately $410 million in capital under management. She is responsible for the management of Syncom’s key administrative processes, to include External Vendor management, Human Resource Management, Investor Relations support, and event management.
Prior to joining Syncom, Ms. Baker worked for the State of Iowa Department of Elder Affairs as a Statistical Research Analyst II. Ms. Baker took on the additional role of “Database Administrator” and project manager for the development and deployment of Iowa NAPIS (National Aging Program Information System), which is a statewide database system for the collection and dissemination of data from Area Agencies on Aging for; the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration on Aging in conjunction for the distribution of appropriations; Iowa State Legislature; Governor’s office; and other state and local entities. Ms. Baker developed and wrote the Iowa NAPIS User/Training manual, and was solely responsible for statewide training and technical support of the Iowa NAPIS system. In addition to the development and training, Ms. Baker assisted with the conversion of the “main” Iowa NAPIS (Microsoft Access based) database program to Microsoft SQL 2000.
Ms. Baker holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Cum-Laude), in Public Administration from Upper Iowa University, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
